Meditation & Self-Love

Yesterday morning the “self-love” card came up in my oracle card reading and my day ended watching Kyle Cease’s interview in the Hay House Heal Summit. Did you catch it?

In the last couple of weeks, there are two messages that keep showing up: meditate & self-love.

Kyle meditates for two hours in the morning. Crazy sounding right? I love the feeling of lull in the morning especially when first waking up so I decided to try extending my meditation time. I ended up meditating for 1-1/2 hours and I feel so refreshed and invigorated.

My meditation however started with feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted. My racing mind kept wanting to get to work. I gently redirected it to my breath and would say, “I love you.” Then my shoulders would soften.

Random memories showed up.
“I love you.”
My shoulders and body softened again.

Just as Kyle mentioned after 45 minutes I felt a release,
then inspiring ideas filled the void.
I remembered how great I felt when I took care of myself following a morning routine with some Ayurvedic practices.

Here’s what I did after my meditation this morning:
* Used a tongue scrapper followed by brushing my teeth.
* Lovingly dry brushed my body thanking each part.
* Compassionately massaged my body with warm organic oil.
* Oiled my nasal passages.
* Poured a cup of Moroccan green tea (I’m off coffee!)
* Had a blast doodling my self-love tools in my journal.
* Logged on to FB to share my experience with you!

I loved how Kyle and his team make decisions based on listening to the wisdom of their body. Our bodies offer us signals of what our soul wants us to know. While I’m highly intuitive, when fear strikes, I get caught in the cognitive space of trying hard to think through a solution. It’s exhausting. When my results are not what I hope or think I need, I get disappointed and then I’m hard on myself.

When I get into FLOW and trust my INTUITION, I attract new opportunities, open up to amazing insights, and life feels easy. Meditation and self-love help me to live and work from the heart and not from my mind and in fears. My heart is so much wiser than my mind.

I’m feeling grateful for this reminder to make meditation and self-love a regular practice.
