Aries New Moon: How to Get Unstuck and Take Action

Aries New Moon April 17, 2026: A Time for Bold Beginnings

The Aries New Moon on April 17, 2026 brings powerful energy for new beginnings, fresh starts, and taking action. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and is associated with courage, momentum, and fearless initiation.

If you have been feeling stuck in overthinking, planning, or waiting for the “right time,” this New Moon invites you to move forward. Not perfectly. Not completely prepared. Just forward.

With support from tarot archetypes like the 7 of Cups (overwhelm and indecision), Ace of Swords (clarity and breakthrough), and Knight of Wands (action and momentum), this is a potent time to break through stagnation and begin again.

What Does the Aries New Moon Mean Spiritually?

Aries energy is about starting before you feel ready.

It is instinctual. Immediate. Alive.

This New Moon is not asking you to map out the entire journey. It is asking you to trust the spark and take the next step. When you move, clarity follows.

A Concentration of Energy in Aries

When planets move through a sign, we call it a transit. We interpret them by looking at how the qualities of each planet are expressed through that sign.

Right now, there is a rare concentration of energy in Aries, amplified by the New Moon also occurring in Aries.

Each planet adds a different layer to what is possible:

  • Mars brings energy and courage to take action
  • Mercury brings clarity and decisive thinking
  • Saturn brings structure and commitment
  • Neptune brings vision and inspiration
  • Chiron brings healing around identity and self trust
  • Sun and Moon bring awareness and a powerful new beginning

This is not scattered or impulsive energy.

It is focused, supported, and ready to move.

Why You May Feel Stuck Right Now

Feeling stuck often looks like:

  • planning endlessly
  • researching without action
  • gathering supplies or ideas
  • thinking or talking without action
  • dreaming without beginning

This is the energy of the 7 of Cups. So many possibilities that you become suspended between them.

Underneath this is often fear. Fear of making the wrong choice. Fear of failure. Fear of being seen.

How to Get Unstuck Using Aries Energy

Aries teaches a simple truth. Action creates clarity.

Instead of asking “What is the full plan?” ask:

What is my next visible step?

Then:

  • take that step within 24 hours
  • allow the next step to reveal itself
  • build momentum one action at a time

Small movement creates energy. Energy builds confidence. Confidence fuels more action.

Quick Answer: How Do I Use the Aries New Moon Energy?

Start something.
Take one small step.
Do it before you feel ready.
Let momentum build naturally.

If You Feel Stuck, Start Here

Before trying to solve everything, check your foundation.

Sometimes getting started has less to do with motivation and more to do with how you are taking care of yourself. Daily care supports creative action. When your body and energy are supported, it becomes easier to move forward.

Ask yourself:

  • Have I moved my body today?
  • Have I eaten well?
  • Have I gone outside?
  • Have I connected with someone?
  • Have I limited scrolling time?
  • Have I had enough water?
  • Have I had enough sleep?

Small shifts in how you care for yourself can create the energy needed to take that first step.

before and after of a room that was cluttered and now beautifully arranged. This is a room dedicated to creativity and work from home.

Why Clearing Your Space Helps You Move Forward

I recently cleared out my living room in preparation for a wood flooring project, and in the process, I finally faced another room, my creative space, which had quietly turned into a dumping ground.

What was once a place I loved to spend time in had become something I avoided.

After clearing it out, everything shifted. Both spaces now feel open, welcoming, and easy to be in. There is a sense of spaciousness that I can feel in my body. I feel calmer. Lighter. More at ease. I even noticed I would not mind if someone stopped by unexpectedly.

What surprised me most was how much my energy changed.

The clutter had been a constant, low level drain. It distracted me, weighed on me, and made it harder to access my creativity. I did not fully realize it until it was gone.

Our environment shapes us more than we think.

When our space is cluttered, it can create mental noise and emotional heaviness. When we clear space, we create room for clarity, creativity, and forward movement.

Sometimes getting unstuck is not about pushing harder.
It is about creating space for energy to flow again.

Tip: Pick one small space, drawer, or box to declutter. You don’t have to tackle a whole room.

A Simple Journaling Practice to Start Creating Again

How can I start being creative if I don’t have time?
Start by lowering the threshold. Instead of setting aside large blocks of time, create small entry points into creativity. A single mark, a word, or a quick note is enough to begin. When creativity feels easy to access, you’re more likely to return to it and build momentum naturally.

Here’s how I broke through my creative block in my art journal.

My newest journal for the Traveling by Moonlight series is a 9×12 inch drawing pad. And if you’re anything like me, it can be hard to start when faced with a large blank page.

This week, I filled the page with small boxes, creating sweet spots to collect my ideas.

I had so much fun filling in the little boxes.

On the first day, I drew the sun in the morning and later colored it in.

I also brainstormed about the Tarot cards that tell the story of feeling stuck and how to get unstuck. I pulled out my Tarot stamps to quickly add little doodles of the cups, sword, and wand.

I found myself wanting to get back to my page, even stealing little moments throughout the day. I spent less time doom scrolling YouTube shorts and more time playing in my journal.

This is an example of how small steps create momentum.

As I look back on the finished page, I see that it became a creative way to take notes and explore ideas connected to the Aries New Moon.

Inspired? Begin here:

  • Draw a few small boxes or sections on a page
  • Use each block to capture something that stands out to you
  • Let it be simple, quick, and unfinished

You might use your blocks to:

  • jot down thoughts about Aries energy
  • write a word or phrase from this Aries New Moon post that resonates
  • collect quotes you want to remember
  • make a list of ideas or things you want to start
  • doodle symbols, tarot images, or colors that match your mood
  • experiment with different color combinations

You don’t have to start and finish one block at a time.

Follow your attention.

You might sketch in one block, write in another, and return later to add color or detail wherever you feel drawn. Several blocks can evolve at once, just like your ideas.

This way of working removes pressure and makes it easier to find time for creativity.

This is Aries energy in motion, small steps and the courage to begin before you feel ready.

Aries New Moon Ritual:
Release What Is Holding You Back

Fire is the element of Aries. It transforms, clears, and activates.

This New Moon offers a chance to move through what has been keeping you stuck and reconnect with your natural momentum.

In the upcoming Meditation Circle, I will guide you through a soul journey to help you identify what is holding you back and begin to release it.

Through a fire ceremony, you will have the opportunity to let go of what no longer serves you and create space for clarity and forward movement.

As that energy shifts, something opens.
Clarity returns.
Energy becomes available again.
The next step feels closer.

If you are ready to move out of stagnation and back into flow, this is an invitation to join us.
