In today’s blog post, we’ll explore the lovely qualities of Libra and how they can guide us during this full moon on April 12, 2025.
Full moons act like spotlights in the night sky, illuminating what’s usually hidden in the shadows. They offer us the opportunity to reflect, release, and realign. During a full moon, we’re working with two signs: the sun sign (currently Aries) and the moon sign (Libra).
These two signs sit opposite each other on the zodiac wheel—a clue to the kind of energy we’re navigating. Opposition doesn’t necessarily mean conflict. It can also mean complement. When harmonized, their tension becomes a beautifully balanced dance.
The Energies of Aries and Libra
Aries brings bold, passionate, and courageous energy. This fiery sign is known for being a go-getter: direct, independent, and fiercely self-driven.
Libra, in contrast, is social, charming, and diplomatic. With an eye for beauty and a heart for harmony, Libra seeks balance and fairness in relationships.
Aries’ focus is on the self—setting goals and charging ahead. Libra, on the other hand, is oriented around connection—how we relate to others and find peace within partnerships.
This full moon invites us to reflect on self vs. other. Where are we prioritizing our own needs, and where are we tending to the needs of those around us? Is there balance—or is there burnout, people-pleasing, or resentment?
Libra’s Wisdom for the Full Moon
With the moon in Libra, we can lean into her graceful guidance. Libra teaches us to hold compassion, to navigate conflict with diplomacy, and to create beauty in the midst of chaos. But when out of balance, Libra may lose herself trying to keep the peace.
This full moon invites us to explore healthy boundaries—to honor both our desire for harmony and our need for self-care.

Creative Practice: A Libra-Inspired Mandala
To reflect on these themes, I invite you into a creative mandala practice.
Begin with the Four Gates Mandala Stencil to lay out your design.
Then, journey through the Four Gates—mind (air), emotions (water), body (earth), and spirit (fire). As you create, be the sacred observer. Let thoughts, feelings, sensations, and desires arise without judgment. This is a practice of honor and release—and deeply Liberian in its compassion.
In the example mandala:
- The Yin Yang symbol represents balance and was traced using a bonus shape from the Four Gates Mandala Stencil.
- A square was traced twice, once flat and once tilted like a diamond, reflecting groundedness and dynamic balance.
- At each gate, the Libra glyph was placed as a gentle greeter at the threshold.
- At the mandala’s corners, the Venus glyph—Libra’s ruling planet—holds space for love and beauty to flourish.
Color Palette: Soft pastels in blues and violets, with silvery highlights to reflect the airy, elegant feeling of Libra.
Let your mandala be a mirror of your own inner balance. Feel free to follow the visual cues shared here, or let your own creativity guide you.
