As the days grow longer and summer settles in, I’m taking a seasonal pause from creating new content, teaching, and online activities.
For many years, I’ve found that stepping away from the constant cycle of creating and sharing allows space for something equally important: reflection, renewal, and inspiration. Summer is a time for gathering ideas, filling the creative well, and listening for what wants to emerge next.
While I’ll be quieter over the coming months, I wanted to share a glimpse of what’s taking shape behind the scenes.
Celebrating 10 Years of The Mandala Guidebook
This year marks the 10th anniversary of The Mandala Guidebook.
When the book was first released, it opened the door to countless conversations, classes, workshops, and creative explorations centered around mandalas and sacred geometry. Over the years, many of you have shared your artwork, stories, and experiences with me, and I am deeply grateful for the community that has grown around this work.
To celebrate this milestone, I’ll be launching a special anniversary series featuring some of the most beloved topics from the past decade, along with new ideas I’ve been wanting to explore.
You can look forward to:
- Fan-favorite mandala drawing techniques
- Sacred geometry demonstrations
- Product reviews and artist tool comparisons
- Creative practices and insights from years of teaching and drawing mandalas
- New video content on YouTube
Some of these topics will revisit old favorites, while others will explore techniques and ideas that never quite made it into the book.
I’m especially excited about returning to the foundations of sacred geometry and sharing practical demonstrations that artists can immediately put to use in their own creative practice.
Looking Ahead to Kripalu
Another exciting development is already on the horizon.
I’m delighted to share that plans are beginning to take shape for a special New Year gathering at Kripalu.
Kripalu New Year Mandala Weekend
January 1–3, 2027
Returning to Kripalu feels a bit like coming home. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching mandala workshops at both Kripalu and Omega Institute, and I am honored to once again be creating a space where we can gather, draw, reflect, and begin a new year together through the practice of mandala making.
If you’re interested in learning more, send me an email at kathryn@100mandalas.com and I’ll be happy to share preliminary information as it becomes available.
Until Then…
Thank you for being part of this creative journey.
Whether you’ve been here since the early days of The Mandala Guidebook or you’ve recently discovered mandalas and sacred geometry, your curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm continue to inspire me.
I wish you a beautiful summer filled with rest, exploration, and moments of creative joy.
I’ll see you in the fall with fresh ideas, new videos, and a year-long celebration of 10 years of mandalas.
Warmly,
Kathryn Costa
